Choreography
Within Reach is a choreographic exploration of isolation—the ache of feeling alone while surrounded by others who seem effortlessly connected. The work unfolds through four landscapes: the stark moment of realization, the weight of sadness, the fire of anger, and the journey toward resolution. Through movement, the piece examines how we navigate the gap between longing for connection and the reality of standing apart, even in a crowd.
Within Reach
To Whatever End
This piece was created in collaboration with Ashlie Roth, and it explores the selflessness and compassion needed in genuine relationships to support each other. Relationships are a balancing act—when one falls, the other is there to catch them, but as soon as the other person needs it, the roles are reversed. Their connection is only strengthened as each person stumbles and is lifted up, and the understanding remains that this will support will always be there. To whatever end.
Facade
Facade delves into the psychological cost of perpetual performance—the way we construct carefully curated versions of ourselves for public consumption while our genuine emotions, fears, and desires remain locked away. The piece examines the suffocating nature of this emotional armor and the loneliness that comes from never being truly seen or known.
